Rainy days and Monday's get me down.  Let me explain.
It's my natural disposition to be a 'sunny' girl....always quick to smile, think positively and consider most of life as a glass half full.  It doesn't hurt that I live in beautiful San Diego, California and enjoy the great outdoors  just about 99 % of the year but for whatever reason on the occasional rainy day we DO experience...it can make me melancholy.  Especially if it lands on a Monday.   Monday's are typically rough around our house.  You see,  there is something that  commonly happens to Pastors on Mondays...they tend to get introspective, analytical, cranky and down.  We have a name for it in our household that isn't too spiritual, it's called S.O.B Monday.  :)  I'll let you decide what that stands for but  the crazy thing is that it can often come on the heels of an INCREDIBLE weekend at church which is exactly what we had.  Last night was without a doubt the most amazing worship night our church has ever experienced, such an incredible presence of the Lord and the musical execution of the band and leaders was exceptional.  I was OVERWHELMED by praise and thanksgiving.
Here's the deal...Sunday's are an expression of God's ability to use our giftings to fulfill His purposes in the body of Christ in such a supernatural way,  Monday's however are the days we are reminded of our fragile humanity and need for His strength, direction, wisdom and guidance.  If you too struggle on a Monday...just remember that it's your LACK OF ABILITY that Christ loves to work with, your shortcomings and failures give Him more room to express HIS nature and abundant giftings...a chance to be glorified.  So cheer up, smile...and lighten up....'cause Sunday's -a-comin'!
